THE TIME TWISTERS

They protected history. Until someone else started rewriting it.

The HERO team was built to protect history. Someone else is already changing it.

Major Marc McKnight leads the most classified project in the United States military. His team, the Historical Event Research Organization, can travel through time to witness any event from the past in precise twenty-five-year intervals. Their charter is simple: observe, document, and never interfere.

Then a cold case investigator and a mission planner walk in with evidence that shatters everything.

A young woman has been missing for six weeks. Her mother recognizes her in a decades-old murder video. And the team’s own time distortion logs confirm a travel event nobody on the HERO team authorized. Someone else has a machine. And they used it to commit murder.

The mission that follows is nothing like what the team trained for.

To save the victim, McKnight must send his people back to 2011 Chicago, intercept a staged suicide before it happens, and capture a mercenary operating with technology that should not exist outside their own lab. The operation pits Lieutenant Karen Hatcher’s combat skills against a former Navy SEAL with a flash grenade and no rules. It puts mission planner Kathy Wu across a table from the most dangerous man she has ever interviewed. And it forces McKnight to confront the possibility that someone close to him has already paid a price he cannot undo.

The Time Twisters is Book 2 in the HERO Project series by Kim Megahee, continuing the story of a team that protects the past while the present keeps threatening to fall apart around them.

The clock is running. History is being rewritten. And the enemy is closer than anyone knows.

Dear Reader,

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about The Time Twisters.

This book took a long time to plan and write.

I’ve always loved conspiracy theory thrillers, and this was my first time to write one.

The Time Twisters has a convoluted plot, and you must pay attention to the date/time stamps to understand what’s going on. But I think it’s fun, looking backward on it. I’ve read it a couple of times since I put it out and I still am moved by the feel of the story.

Once I wrote it, Martha and I decided to honor my mother’s wish, which was to publish at least one of my books the tradition way.

As it turned out, I never found an agent who was interested in the book (except for one who lost interest after he found out that the POTUS I was talking about was fictitious and NOT Donald Trump). LOL! It would have been funny if I wasn’t so desperate to get the book published.

In the end, I self-published The Time Twisters because I knew I had more books to write and I was tired of the wait. I needed to get rolling.

In the end, I was so glad to get it published and move on to the next one. There were six more books after The Time Twisters.

Thanks for browsing my website.
Cheers,
Kim
